Kennington Pubs Tour 1985

Of the actual total of 12 pubs featured, only 6 remain open, with 4 others converted to other uses, and 2 demolished:

1. Surrey Tavern - the original pub was demolished in 1964 and a replacement constructed on the same site. This was in turn demolished in 2008 as part of works to refurbish and extend the Oval cricket ground's members pavilion;
2. Carpenters Arms - was latterly known as Elephant & Hippo, demolished in around 2011 and replaced by flats;
3. Alderman - had been converted to residential by 1999;
4. Prince of Wales - open as a pub;
5. Old Red Lion - open as a pub;
6. Court Tavern - closed in approx 2003 and had been converted to residential by 2008;
7. Royal Oak - closed in 2020 and change of use to a community hub was granted in 2021; Tankard - open as a pub;
8. Black Prince - open as a pub;
9. Duchy Arms - open as a pub;
10. John Bull - appears the pub closed in approx 2000 and was converted to residential in 2012/2013;

11. Royal Oak - open as a pub, now known as Mc & Sons;
