You don't need qualifications or experience, just the time and enthusiasm to help.

Below we have listed a few ways you could help us, but there are many other possibilities and we are open to new suggestions.

• Score the beers you drink in pubs

  It's easy and will help in the selection process for the Good Beer Guide. Member login is required to submit scores. More information is available here.

  

  
  

• Provide feedback on your local pubs using the CAMRA Pubs Database

  If you spot missing or out of date information in a pub’s entry, scroll down towards the bottom and click on ‘Suggest an Edit’ to submit feedback to the relevant CAMRA branch. Member login required.

  
  

• Help judge pubs for Pub of the Year awards

  Every year our members vote for each of four branch Area winners which are then judged to select our overall branch Pub of the Year. Any branch member is welcome to visit all four pubs and submit their ratings & feedback. You can read more about our selection process here.

  

  Our award winner then goes forward to the regional competition where the winners from all 12 London branches are judged against each other to determine the overall London Pub of the Year.

  Branch members are encouraged to visit all 12 pubs and submit their ratings & feedback. An average is then taken of all the submitted scores for each pub to determine an overall branch score and ranking which is then submitted to the regional competition coordinator.

  There is also a similar process for selecting the branch and regional Cider Pub of the Year.

• Distribute London Drinker Magazine

  

  You could become a distributor for CAMRA's award winning, bi-monthly regional magazine, London Drinker, to pubs in your local area.

  The magazine is produced entirely by volunteer members who also deliver copies for free to as many pubs across Greater London as possible.

  We have a number of areas where your help to increase the number of our pubs receiving the magazine would be really appreciated. The magazine is delivered in bulk to the Royal Oak in Borough (on the last Weds of Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep & Nov) from where our members collect copies for onward distribution to their local pubs.

• Become a Brewery Liaison Officer (BLO) for a local brewery

  

  Become the main CAMRA point of contact with a local brewery, undertake periodic visits, maintain the brewery's record within CAMRA's brewery database, and share updates from the brewery.

  You could also consider joining the London Tasting Panel to help classify beers and formulate tasting notes within CAMRA's brewery database, and nominate beers for CAMRA's Champion Beer of Britain competition.

• Become a Festival Volunteer

  

  It takes a lot of hard work to get your local CAMRA beer festivals up and running, and it's all carried out by unpaid volunteers.

  There are lots of different roles available from staffing the bars, choosing the beers, setting up the equipment and carrying out Health and Safety checks.

  Don't worry if you don't have experience as there will be other volunteers available to help and advise you, and formal training can be provided where required.
