Lambeth Pub Tour 1982

Of the 11 pubs featured: depressingly only 5 remain open, 1 is currently closed, 2 have been converted to other uses, and 3 have been demolished.

1. Royal George - most sources state the pub was demolished in the early 1990s as part of the construction of the London Waterloo Eurostar rail platforms, though some sources place the demolition at the end of that decade;
2. French Horn - was converted to residential in 1996;
3. Spanish Patriot - open as a pub, now known as Vaulty Towers;
4. Horse & Groom - was latterly known as the Horse & Stables and closed in 2025;
5. Pineapple - open as a pub;
6. Hercules Tavern - open as a pub, now known as The Hercules;
7. St George's Tavern - was demolished in approx 2001 following the granting of planning permission for a new office & residential development;
8. Court Tavern - closed in 2004 and converted to residential a few years later;
9. Tankard - open as a pub;
10. Geoffrey Chaucer - originally called the Pillbox (due to its hexagonal shape) and latterly known as Florence Nightingale, demolished in c2013 as part of a new student accommodation development;
11. Crown & Cushion - open as a pub.
